My community/industrial involvement is mostly concerned with various aspects of social media pop cultures:

• The social:

  • Social (in)justice in social media cultures: e.g. online activism, far-right movements

  • Networked complicity: e.g. animal cruelty online, online misogyny, sexual exploitation of women, children, and animal online

• The cultural:

  • Influencer culture and practice

  • Media intimacies & dating apps

  • Online vernacular cultures: e.g. cancel culture, callout culture, cyberbullying, online hate, 'sniping culture' [저격문화]

• The economic:

  • Influencer industry, policies, and marketing

  • Attention ecology: news journalism, social media, Influencers, and social media users
